FEATURED WORK
My photoshop project is intended to celebrate the women in my life, and the city that I grew up in, all of which made me who I am today. The original concept for this project was taken from a poster of one of my favorite racecar movies: “Baby Driver”. I really like the art style, the placement of the central characters, the way size was used to represent the central figures, and the feeling of movement that the poster displayed. I kept some of the design elements and principal that appeared in the movie poster sample, but ultimately personalized this image to resemble a mural rather than a poster. My family immigrated to the United States while I was very young, and while we moved around a lot in search of opportunities, my formative years were spent in or around Philadelphia. Since arriving here my family has grown considerably and moved to other parts of the U.S to create lives of their own, which is why this poster also alludes to the theme of distance.
